Preparation

Now that you've ordered your Congo Bar mix, let's go over how to prepare the dessert.

What you'll need:

  • 9" x 13" baking pan
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • (optional) 2 teaspoons vanilla extract, 1 tablespoon canola oil

Directions:

  1. Preheat Oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Empty dry ingredient mix into a large mixing bowl. *For easier mixing, separate chocolate chips with a strainer and add back in after mixing we ingredients (after step 4)
  3. In separate bowl, mix 2 eggs, butter, and milk (wet ingredients).
  4. Slowly add wet mixture into the large bowl with Congo Bar mix. Use your preferred mixing method to mix all ingredients together. Once wet and dry ingredients are consistently mixed; mix back in chocolate chips, pecans, and coconut.
  5. Coat your baking pan with parchment paper, or preferred non stick ingredient, and spread Congo Bar mixture into pan and smooth out the top.
  6. Bake 30-35 minutes, or until edges are light golden brown.

Mixing Ingredients

  • Give packaged ingredients a good mix before mixing with the eggs + butter.

Ready to Bake

  • Once oven is preheated and ingredients are well mixed, flatten dough on a 9" x 13" baking pan. For easy clean-up and for best results cover pan with parchment paper.
  • Finished!
    • Set timer for 20-25 mins and remove from oven when edges have turned golden brown. Let cool, then cut and serve. Cut 6 x 4 for 24 servings.
